Corporate Social Responsibility II
On the 19thof June 2019, the Blackbridge West team visited Clegg Girls’ Junior Secondary School, Surulere, Lagos.
The session hosted a group of 100 JSS3 students. The session focused on curriculum selection and its importance on career options. This was of particular importance as the students were preparing for Senior Secondary School in the next term.
A member of our team, who is the first female commercial pilot from Ondo State and also a lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar, spoke to the girls especially on her personal experiences and challenges faced whilst trying to become a pilot in such a male dominated field. The girls listened attentively and in the end had a plethora of relevant, practical and intelligent questions.
It was an exciting visit and the team was thoroughly dazzled by the high sense of intelligence and confidence displayed by the girls. They all have bright futures ahead of them.
